Arabian Nights (Peyote or Brick Stitch) PDF
(1 letter-sized, color page)
Arabian Nights finds its origins in decorative pavements and wall mosaics of private houses and mosques in Cairo. Original architectural elements were executed in white and black marble with red tiles, and became a popular target for Western collectors in the 1800s.
Each Arabian Nights bracelet pattern comes with three color schemes: "exotic"- with purples and golds reminiscent of costume and scenes from "Tales from the Thousand and One Nights"; "spicy"- a color scheme recalling Marrakesh marketplaces and Persian carpets; and "antique"- a sophisticated, subtle scheme of metallic neutrals, sparked by a teal iris shimmer.
The Arabian Nights pattern is measured for Japanese Delica beads, but any 11o seed bead will work. Make adjustments to the stated length so bracelet will fit the wrist properly.
Size: Length varies, beginning at 5 3/8" if pattern is made with Delicas.
Height: 1 1/2" high.
Skill Level: Beginner (must know how to increase and decrease).
